Personal Statement
Jane works within the Student Experience Team to provide dedicated school-based support to improve student experience and academic engagement, which primarily sees her being a main point of contact for students experiencing any issues that are affecting their wellbeing and their studies. She provides advice and support to academic and professional services staff in relation to student welfare issues, academic policy, procedures and regulations and pastoral support systems. This involves advising on students’ applications for extenuating circumstances and signposting students to the University’s central specialist support services, such as the Disability Advice and Guidance Team and the Counselling Service.
