ABOUT

Personal Statement
I am a conservation biologist. In general I'm interested in how the spatial arrangement of land use and management affects the viability of species. The amount and pattern of our nature reserves and green spaces will strongly affect whether species can survive under climate change. I use a mixture of empirical and modelling approaches to investigate how species are already responding, and what might happen in the future. Starting in 2020, I am funded by UKRI as a Future Leaders Fellow.

See the research tab on this page for more details. You can also see my publication profile at ORCID and at Scopus.

If you would like to propose your own research project for a PhD or Mres in my research area, feel free to contact me. I will often advertise a PhD project for funding (competition-based) by the NERC Doctoral Landscape Award ACCE+, which is a partnership between the Universities of Liverpool, Sheffield and York, the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology and the Natural History Museum.
