ABOUT
Personal Statement
With a background in psychological research methods I have applied my methodological expertise in areas such as public health and forensic/clinical psychology. In 2005 I came to work for the Liverpool Reviews and Implementation Group as a clinical reviewer working on both single technology assessments for the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence, health technology assessments for the Health Technology Assessment Programme and a large scale systematic review update of Prevention and Intervention Strategies for Populations at High Risk of Engaging in Violent Behaviour and of Risk Assessment Strategies for Populations at High Risk of Engaging in Violent Behaviour. As a consequence of this later project I registered for a PhD devising and evaluating a violence risk assessment tool for people with an intellectual disability, aimed at assessing the presence or not of factors that protect an individual from becoming violent.
