Personal Statement
I am a Lecturer in Psychology and the Programme Director of the MSc Health Psychology. I also work part time in the NHS as a Health Psychologist.
Since 2008 I have worked at the University in research and teaching. I qualified as a Health Psychologist through the BPS Independent Route (Stage 2) and was awarded my PhD from the University of Liverpool.
I am passionate about health inequalities and improving health care for patients. I work across a number of areas, including child health, adult trials, and with vulnerable groups including people who are homeless.

Research Overview
My research interests are broadly health related and include patient perspectives, health service research and public health. Currently, I am developing research projects related health service development and system change.

I have spent five years in clinical trials increasing the acceptability and appropriateness of RCT's to the patients and families who participate in them. Prior to this, I used MWIA and HIAT tools to map the health needs of Liverpool residents. Prior to those projects, my PhD project work explored end of life care for older people with a focus on transitions and resilience.
