Personal Statement
Medical graduate, obtained MPhil in Immunology from University of Dhaka. Worked as an academic and researcher in the field of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at various capacities in Bangladesh, before starting PhD studies in University of Liverpool in November 2010. Awarded PhD in Immunology in April 2014, investigating the natural immunity to pneumococcal pilus-1 (RrgA and RrgB) antigens, and its relationship with pneumococcal carriage. Have joined as a postdoctoral researcher in Qibo Zhang’s Infection Immunology research group; to investigate the potential of several flu vaccine candidates for mucosal vaccination.
