Personal Statement
I am a community ecologist, with particular interests in building theory about community and ecosystem dynamics based on axioms, and in using statistical modelling to study patterns of change in communities. I often use compositional data analysis to study dynamics of relative abundances, including coral reefs, temperate marine subtidal communities and forest pollen samples. I do experimental and observational fieldwork in temperate marine subtidal communities.
