Personal Statement
Alex Phillips is a Senior Data Scientist in the Signal Processing Group in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics. His research applies Bayesian statistical, machine learning and signal processing methods to real-world problems in multiple domains, including sensor fusion for navigation and target tracking; epidemiological modelling and disease surveillance; computational biology and proteomics; and financial risk modelling.
