Artificial Intelligence

Summary

Our work spans core AI areas—including machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics—as well as AI+, which reflects the growing convergence of AI with other academic disciplines and real-world application domains.

The group maintains strong links with industrial partners such as Amazon and Siemens, and is actively engaged with national research centres like the Alan Turing Institute, highlighting our commitment to developing AI for societal benefit while enhancing research quality and impact. We also make strategic use of facilities such as the Digital Innovation Facility to collaborate with local industry, healthcare providers, and civic organisations, delivering translational research that supports innovation and development across Liverpool and the wider UK.
